Running from 5 – 9 September, Winchester Cathedral will be holding its third Flower Festival in recent years. Illumination: A Festival of Flowers will see the Cathedral transformed by a spectacular array of flower arrangements inspired by the 12th-century Winchester Bible.
To celebrate this year’s Flower Festival, Winchester Cathedral are working in partnership with BellaCrafts to create a special community display and they want you to be part of it!
Simply collect a flower kit from BellaCrafts, who are based in Fair Oak Garden Centre, and get creative! You can also order a kit online and more information is available from www.bellacrafts.co.uk
Bring your handmade flowers to the Cathedral Entrance Desk before 31 August for your chance to win your choice of either a Family Ticket to the Ice Rink OR a Flower Festival Afternoon Tea and Demonstration for two people.
All handmade flowers will be on display in the Flower Festival Marquee in the Inner Close throughout the festival (free entry to the marquee) and the flowers will be available for collection from BellaCrafts after the event until 17 September.
Flower kits cost £2 including a 50p donation to Winchester Cathedral. If you would like to enter the competition, please provide your contact details when you collect your flower kit from Bella Crafts. The winner will be announced after the Flower Festival.
Tickets for the Flower Festival are available from the Cathedral Box Office 01962 857 275 or www.winchester-cathedral.org.uk, with free entry for children under 16.
