The Pilgrims' School
The Pilgrims’ School is a preparatory school for 200 boys aged 7 to 13, including the 22 Choristers of Winchester Cathedral and the 16 Quiristers (the Chapel choir boys) of Winchester College.
Boarding and day pupils are admitted.
The school is part of the ministry of the Cathedral but operates independently of it under a board of governors. It is in unique association with Winchester College.
As the main feeder to Winchester College, up to half of the boys in the top year move there each year. The others go to the major independent schools of the south (Eton, Harrow, Charterhouse, Canford, Sherborne, etc).
The school has an enviable awards record. In 2001, 19 were won including 5 on Roll to Winchester and 1 to Eton.
Academic studies, sport and music blend easily in the school, and all boys are encouraged to strive for their personal best.
