Refectory

The Visitor's CentreThe Refectory is a purpose built restaurant with a high vaulted glass roof and steel structural supports. The building has won several awards for both its design and food.

The Cathedral Refectory offers a full range of refreshments every day from 9.30am until 5.00pm (March to October) and 9.30am to 4.30pm (November to February).

Refreshments available include:

Coffee and cakes – all our cakes are homemade.

Tea and biscuits – all biscuits are homemade.

Chefs’ Special Lunches – freshly made each day and served from 12 noon to 2.30pm. A vegetarian option is always available.
 
Hampshire Cream Teas – homemade scones and clotted cream.

Reservations are not available in the Refectory but a large terrace (seating for 50) and catering area (seating 20) ensures an efficient and prompt service.

A welcome is produced by parish teams from the diocese. All profit from this catering division is covenanted to the Chapter of Winchester for the maintenance and mission of the Cathedral.
