It is with great pleasure and pride that I’m writing to share good news with you. Canon Annabelle Boyes, Receiver General of Winchester Cathedral, has been awarded the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to the Church. This award is very well deserved and it is good to see Annabelle’s commitment and dedication to the Cathedral and to the wider church being honoured. Congratulations to Annabelle!
The Very Rev’d Catherine Ogle
Dean of Winchester
Speaking of the award, which was announced on Saturday, Annabelle (pictured above) had this to say:
“Winchester Cathedral’s thousand-year heritage of ministry to people from all walks of life in so many ways is continually growing. I feel privileged to have been part of that in my time here as Receiver General and Project Director. I am delighted to receive this honour in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.”
