Benedictine Virtues: A Rule-of-Life for Beginners – Obedience

Wessex Learning Centre

24th May 2017 7pm - 24th May 2017 Event Type: Faith

What sense does the virtue of obedience make when we are valued precisely by our ability to make and take free choices, or stability make when mobility brings us variety and opportunity, or humility make when we are each encouraged to take pride in ourselves and at all costs avoid being victimized? Though we are not protected in a monastic community, can cultivating these virtues today help us to be more like Christ and more fully alive.
The workshops will involve input, group work and discussion.

Numbers limited to 20.

Workshop conducted by Canon Roly Reim.

Additional session:

30th May - Humility

Tickets are available from the Cathedral Box Office
