In this lecture Ian Coulter will reflect on what it means to model Godly character within the world of finance with reference to Mark Greene’s book Fruitfulness on the Frontline.  Godly character is not about our personalities, but about those qualities such as patience, humility and selflessness which we can display so that we can be fruitful in character on our own frontline despite the daily challenges we may face.

On 6 March 2017 The Executive Director of the London Institute of Contemporary Christianity, Mark Greene, gave a lecture to launch a new Hampshire wide community building programme for professional people, called Fruitfulness on the Frontline. The aim of Fruitfulness on the Frontline is to develop and resource communities of professionals who connect their discipleship as Christians with the particular markets and industries in which they work. The workplace is often the ‘frontline’ of faith, where our Christian values are sometimes challenged by the pressures of survival in the marketplace. Speakers in the series represent just a few industries/market sectors, however anyone who works in any market sector will be inspired by this series of gatherings, because the principles of applying Christian faith remain the same.

Ian Coulter is a beverage industry and strategy expert and has spent over 12 years working in the soft drinks sector. He recently left The Coca-Cola Company where he headed up the New Ventures Unit and led the pan-European launch of ZICO coconut water. Prior to that he spent five years with Coca-Cola Europe acting as chief of staff to the Leadership Team, steering the business through 2 re-organisations. He was also Business Development Director At Coca Cola Enterprises. He spent 5 years as a Consultant at Boston Consulting Group where he focused on Consumer Goods, he has an MBA from INSEAD and an MA from Cambridge.
