Octavoce Choir presents ‘Songs for Nature’ in support of the Cameron Bespolka Trust (Hospital of St Cross)

Octavoce, a select 8-voice choir from Scotland, is coming to Hampshire for the first time ever to sing in aid of the Cameron Bespolka Trust, fresh from sell-out performances in Edinburgh and the Black Isle. They will sing in aid of the Cameron Bespolka Trust to create opportunities to connect children with nature and wildlife.

“Songs for Nature” is a musical celebration of nature held in two beautiful churches. Choose from either the magnificent church of The Hospital of St. Cross in Winchester on 6th July or the tiny Anglo-Saxon jewel of All Saints’ church, near Stockbridge on 7th July.

The concert “Songs for Nature” includes a range of music celebrating nature and birds in particular, Octavoce will perform Orlando Gibbons’ masterpiece The Silver Swan, Bluebird, a Late Romantic motet by Charles Stanford, as well as a selection of Scottish songs, including Loch Lomond and the Skye Boat Song. The evening will end with popular, modern classics such as A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and Gershwin’s Summertime.
