Winchester Cathedral & Winchester College Open Evening 2021

6th Jul 2021 4:30pm - 6th Jul 2021 6:30pm Event Type: Other

The Cathedral would like to invite school staff to an open evening on Tuesday 6th July from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. You will be able to meet with the staff from Winchester Cathedrals Learning Team and Winchester College.

Emma Bourner – Director of Learning (Winchester Cathedral)

Aisha Al Sadie – Learning Officer (Winchester Cathedral)

Richard Foster –  Fellows’ Librarian and Keeper of Collections (Winchester College)

Sarah Griffin – Assistant Curator (Winchester College)

Suzanne Ceiriog-Hughes - Treasury Manager and Moberly Librarian (Winchester College)

We know that teachers will most likely know by now which year group/s they will be teaching next year and will be thinking about potential school visits for the coming year which is why we thought that a July Open Evening event would work for school staff.

During the Open Evening, you will be able to find out about what is on offer in both locations for schools and also how you may benefit from a school visit that covers both locations.

The Open Evening will begin at Winchester Cathedral’s Learning Centre.

There will be a virtual tour of Winchester College’s Treasury and a brief overview of what they can offer to schools.

We will then take the brief walk to the Cathedral where you will be able to have a look around the Kings and Scribes exhibition and, dependant on the number of people in attendance, have a brief tour of the Cathedral.

Parking will be provided by Winchester College – details of where to park will be provided nearer the time.

Every person who wishes to attend will need to book a ticket for this event – this will aid us for Track and Trace should COVID restrictions still be in place.
