On Holy Monday, Christ, visits his friends, Lazarus, Martha and Mary at Bethany where, in a prophetic action, Mary anoints Jesus for burial. He knows the peril he is facing.
On Tuesday, Jesus reaches Jerusalem for Passover and crowds are drawn to him. Jesus teaches them that unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it cannot bear fruit.
On Wednesday, at supper with his friends, Jesus tells them that one of them will betray him. Judas goes out into the night.
