Having served for five years in the senior and central role of Canon Precentor at Winchester Cathedral, Canon Sue Wallace is taking up a new role exploring ways of sharing her liturgical skills more widely.
Sue will be taking up the post of Liturgical Director and Creative Worship Consultant for Transcendence, a charity which offers liturgical advice and inspiration, particularly in the area of creative worship and Sacramental Fresh Expressions. This will enable Canon Sue to use her various talents to help, inspire and support many churches and communities.
‘I am looking forward to this new opportunity with great excitement. The last five years at Winchester Cathedral have been enormously rewarding and I have relished worshipping along-side its world-class choir. I am leaving with a rich store of experience and look forward to working now with a range of different churches.’
The Dean of Winchester, The Very Revd Catherine Ogle said, ‘The cathedral is enormously grateful to Canon Sue for introducing sensitive liturgical innovation, especially at our ‘big events’ and for her championing of all kinds of choirs and choral music. We wish her every blessing for her new and exciting work.’
