A print of a lovely watercolour of Winchester’s medieval St Swithun’s Gate, by local artist Caroline Greaves.
One of Winchester’s many fascinating architectural details, thousands of pilgrims have passed through St Swithun’s Gate into the Cathedral Close since the Middle Ages. (St Swithun was a Bishop of Winchester in the ninth century, best known for the proverb that if it rains on his day, 15 July, it will keep raining for the next forty!)
The print comes in a cream, pale duck egg blue or beige mount. Please note – the colour you receive will be due to availability. We stock other prints by Caroline.
