A delightful programme of music selected from Jane Austen?s own hand-copied manuscripts, and recorded in the drawing room at her house at Chawton.
Jane, like many ladies of her class, was an amateur musician, described by her niece as playing ?very pretty tunes?. The music selected here is for voice, flute and piano; and Janeites can imagine her heroines performing these pieces.
A wonderful piece of social history ? perhaps best enjoyed while reading your favourite Austen novel?
