“Peace to this Place” reads the text in this delicately-decorated terracotta wall plaque.
The vine leaves that meet to form the cross-shape at the centre of the tile are based on a carving from a Somerset Church, and the inscription is an anglicised version of “Pax Huic Domine”, carved into a stone farmhouse, also in Somerset. These two ideas come together here to form the unique design called ?The Somerset Blessing?.
A lovely and appropriate decoration to display in any home ? and a great house-warming gift.
