To My Only Desire is an exquisitely-detailed tapestry copied from a famous medieval wall hanging.
To My Only Desire (À mon seul désir) is one of a series of six Flemish fifteenth-century tapestries. The first five depict the five senses; and this sixth tapestry has a more obscure meaning, but is generally interpreted as representing love. Each tapestry shows a noble lady with a lion and a unicorn, and are probably the most recognisable tapestries from the Middle Ages.
This intricately hand-crafted tapestry was woven in Flanders and finished in Cornwall.
