The Sense of Touch is a stunning hand-crafted tapestry, based on one of the celebrated series of medieval wall hangings, The Lady and the Unicorn.
The Lady and the Unicorn is the modern name for a series of six fifteenth-century tapestries. The first five depict the five senses; and the sixth is thought to represent love. Each tapestry shows a noble lady with a lion and a unicorn; in this case, the lady?s hand rests lightly on the unicorn, and she holds a pennant in the other, as the lion looks on.
This beautifully-made tapestry was woven by Master Flemish weavers, and hand-finished in Cornwall.
