A compelling and unusual wall decoration, this plaster sculpture of the Green Man is in the style of Victorian Gothic architect Augustus Pugin.
Grotesques such as this are a common decoration in cathedrals ? a humorous, personal little touch by the craftsmen who worked on them. Despite often being thought to be a pre-Christian pagan motif, the Green Man can be found in ecclesiastical buildings across Europe.
The decoration comes with a hanging loop for displaying.
