Lloyd Webber: Requiem

The requiem by Andrew Lloyd Webber first appeared in the mid-1980s, to a high-profile launch in New York. On this the original recording, conducted by Lorin Maazel, the soloists Sarah Brightman and Placido Domingo are supported by Winchester Cathedral Choir, whose treble soloist Paul Miles-Kingston also plays an important role in the recording.

Mozart: Coronation Mass, K317

The Coronation Mass is perhaps the most joyful of Mozart's settings of the Mass, and on this recording is coupled with the Solemn Vespers and the Epistle Sonata in C major. As with the recording of the Mass in C minor, Winchester Cathedral Choir and the Quiristers of Winchester College are accompanied by The Academy of Ancient Music under the direction of Christopher Hogwood.
