It costs roughly £14,000 a day to run Winchester Cathedral and your admission fee directly supports the future of the cathedral.

Winchester Cathedral is a working Cathedral, and so, parts of the Cathedral may be closed to the public during your visits (this could be, for eaxmple, due to the conducting of services or carrying out conservation works). No refund or discount will be offered for any disruption to visits.

Winchester Cathedral is dog friendly. Well-behaved dogs are welcome inside the cathedral but must always be kept on leads and you must not leave your dog unattended. Dogs are not permitted at events, services, or inside the café.
