Luxmuralis is the internationally acclaimed artistic collaboration of sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper, recognised as one of the UK’s leading creators of immersive light and sound experiences. 

For more than a decade, Luxmuralis has transformed some of the nation’s most iconic cathedrals, abbeys, churches, castles and historic landmarks through innovative projection art and immersive storytelling. Their work combines original digital artwork, carefully composed soundscapes and architectural illumination to create large-scale experiences that celebrate history, culture, science, nature and spirituality. 

Each Luxmuralis installation is uniquely designed for its host venue, responding to the architecture, character and atmosphere of the building itself. Rather than simply projecting images onto walls, Luxmuralis creates immersive environments where light, sound and architecture work together to tell stories and inspire emotional connections.

Please be aware this event takes you on a journey around the Cathedral and may include steps up and down in places. There will be a ramp and wheelchair lift in place, which will be operated by a trained steward on the night.

In addition, as Luxmuralis is a show of light, this event may not be suitable for visitors with sensitivity to flashing/moving light.

There will be an area dedicated for pram/buggy storage on entrance of the cathedral, so that you can enjoy the experience ‘hands free’ (items left at owners risk).
