Our Essential Companion scheme makes it simple to bring your companion with you, free of charge.
Just show the carer ID card when you are paying for your general admission, and your carer or companion won’t need to pay an entry fee when accompanying you on your visit.
If you don’t have a carer ID card, you can still bring a carer or companion free – the carer ID card just makes it quicker and simpler for you.
Winchester Cathedral is dog friendly. Well-behaved dogs are welcome inside the cathedral but must always be kept on leads and you must not leave your dog unattended. Dogs are not permitted at events (including the Flower Festival) or inside the Morley library, Crypt or inside the café.

There will be opportunities to touch the stone that makes up the fabric of the building, and some objects that will enhance your understanding of the architecture of the Cathedral and some of its treasures.
Touch tours are free of charge with a valid general admission tickets.
