Explore the beauty of botanical forms through printmaking in this creative Botanical Monoprints workshop led by artist Jade Taylor.

In this hands-on session, you’ll create a series of small, individual botanical monoprints, experimenting with positive and negative shapes to build layered compositions. Working with natural botanical specimens, you’ll explore the use of texture, colour and text, mixing translucent inks directly on the plant material to produce beautifully unpredictable, serendipitous results. Creating an array of prints to take home.

As the workshop progresses, you will refine your technique and colour palette, selecting your favourite print to be finished with a bevel window mount, ready to take home and display.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities — no prior printmaking experience is required. You may wish to bring your own apron – if you don’t have one, don’t worry, you can borrow one!

What to expect:

  • Guided exploration of botanical monoprint techniques

  • Experimentation with layering, positive and negative space, and text

  • Colour-building using translucent inks and natural materials

  • A mounted botanical monoprint to take home

  • A relaxed, supportive environment with expert tuition
