‘I was in prison, and you visited me’ Matthew 25:36 

The journey through the Criminal Justice System can be an uncertain time for those who find themselves caught up in it. While never condoning or minimising the effects of crime on individuals, society and business, many Christians, and people of other, or no faith or belief, support the human being while on remand, progressing through the courts and a prison term, and to release back into society. In this session Rev David Hinks, Managing Chaplain of HMP Winchester will present:

  • Pastoral support and faith matters: Prison Chaplains 
  • Coffee and a chat: Chaplaincy Volunteers 
  • Bereavement Support: CRUSE Volunteer 
  • Preparing to reintegrate: Mentoring 

 

Following an overview and hearing from Christian practitioners there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
