The 8th May 2025 marks the historic 80th anniversary of VE Day, celebrating 80 years of peace since the end of Word War II in Europe that so many millions paid the ultimate sacrificed to achieve it.
Winchester Cathedral will commemorate this historic anniversary with a special service of Choral Evensong at 3.30pm on Sunday 11th May 2025.
Sung by the Boy Choristers and Lay Clerks, this service will include thoughtful prayers, beautiful music and poignant readings, with contributions from young people from Hampshire.
It will be a special opportunity to reflect, remember and give thanks for those who served.
Everyone is welcome to attend, whether in-person or online via live stream.
