Libera will be performing in Winchester Cathedral for the first time.

Libera is an internationally renowned boys’ vocal group whose distinctive sound blends the traditions of the English choral heritage with a contemporary musical language. Their performances, characterised by purity of tone and luminous harmonies, have captivated audiences in cathedrals, major churches and prestigious concert halls across the world.

The singers, aged between seven and sixteen, are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds and attend schools throughout South London. While rooted in the English choral tradition, Libera presents a unique musical identity which resonates with audiences of all ages.

In the past year, Libera has undertaken an extensive programme of international touring, with performances in Ireland, Catalonia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malta and Japan, in addition to UK appearances at Southwark Cathedral and Smith Square Hall.

Libera’s recordings have achieved chart success in the UK, USA and Japan, while their substantial online presence has introduced their music to millions worldwide. The group is also well known to television audiences through regular broadcasts, including Songs of Praise, and is frequently heard on Classic FM.
