You are warmly invited to join young people from across Hampshire as they help lead the Jubilee Youth Celebrations.
Schools, Hampshire Youth Parliament, Scouts, Guides, Army Cadets, Royal Navy Cadets, Royal Air Force Cadets, Police Cadets & bands including The Spitfires Scout & Guide, Boys Brigade Brass and RN Cadet Bands will be in attendance.
This event was organised by Winchester Cathedral in conjunction with Hampshire Youth Network.

The cathedral will be transformed with bunting and decorations, the air will be filled with triumphant music.
There will be messages from the Commonwealth and an uplifting poem named ‘Holi in Ruislip’, which will be read by Dr Nazneen Ahmed Pathak. The Rt Revd and Rt Hon Richard Chartres will join as preacher to mark this special occasion.
We invite you to wear a hat ‘fit for a Queen’ when attending this service.
St Paul’s will hold a historic Service of Thanksgiving for The Queen’s reign on Friday 3rd June at 11.30am. This service will be live-streamed at Winchester Cathedral. Join in with hymns and prayers and feel like you’re really there!
The Service will include bible readings, anthems, prayers and congregational hymns, expressing thankfulness for The Queen’s reign, faith and service; desire to foster unity and peace amongst all peoples; and commitment to care for God’s creation.
The Service will include a new Anthem by Judith Weir, Master of The Queen’s Music, that sets to music words from the third Chapter of the Book of Proverbs.
Seating for this service opens at 11am.
You are warmly invited to pop into the cathedral and join in with the Jubilee themed activities. Providing a special way for families and friends to come together and mark the Platinum Jubilee in this royal cathedral (donations gratefully received upon entry).
You’re invited to join the Festal Eucharist service at 11am, and following that, the cathedral will be open from 12:30pm for Open Cathedral visitors.

In celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year, join Winchester Cathedral’s Guides for a fascinating ‘Royal Jubilee Tour’ of the cathedral to discover many royal connections.
Alastair Bruce, a royal, constitutional and religious commentator, joins Winchester Cathedral in the month of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, to discuss the crown and the spiritual symbolism of duty.
During the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend the Cathedral Café and courtyard will be decorated with bunting and flags, creating the perfect atmosphere for a royal refreshment!
There will be cream teas, cakes and other sweet treats available.
The ‘Coffee Van’ will be outside the front of the cathedral, perfect if you’re picnicking on the grounds or walking around the city in search of something to takeaway.
You’ll also find a Jude’s ice cream bike here too – what better way to celebrate a monumental British milestone, than with ice cream from our very own county, Hampshire.
Finally, if the sun is shining, you’ll find BBQ style food available next to the Coffee Van on the Outer Close of the cathedral grounds, where you’ll have a choice of hot dogs, cheese burgers and halloumi burgers.

On Friday 3rd June, the bells will ring from 10.45 am until 11.30 am to coincide with the Service of Thanksgiving being held at St Paul’s Cathedral. This is part of a national campaign to ring church bells at this time.
