A simple prayer which welcomes you, whether you would say you are Christian, or not. Come and sit a while with Bible readings, silence and singing. It is easy to learn Taizé chants as they are repeated again and again, using just a few words, which can penetrate our whole being, becoming a way of listening to God, to what is most important in our lives.
The Prayer starts at 6.00pm and lasts under one hour. It takes place mainly on the last Sunday of each month with a break in August and December.

A little about the Taizé Community:
The Taizé Community in the village of Taizé, in the Burgundy region of France, started by Brother Roger Schütz, welcomes people from all denominations and cultures – those who have a Christian faith and those who struggle to believe. They come from all around the world responding to an invitation to ‘search for communion with God through community prayer, song, silence, personal reflection and sharing’.
Those who spend some time there, whether a few days, a week, or a year as a young volunteer, bring what they have understood of faith and living in community to their own communities, enriched by their experiences.
The Taizé Community is a sign of hope in a divided world and its spirituality has brought new life to Christian churches throughout the world.
