The Helios artwork by artist Luke Jerram is coming to Winchester for the first time in January 2026. Pop in to the cathedral to marvel at its beauty or join one of the many events and activities that will be taking place in the sunshine, from pilates to silent discos.

Helios is a touring artwork of the Sun by UK artist Luke Jerram.

Measuring seven metres in diameter, the artwork features 72dpi detailed imagery* of the Sun’s surface. At an approximate scale of 1:200 million, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 2000km of the Sun’s surface.

Entry to see the Helios artwork is included with your annual pass.
