Details
To herald the Christmas season and bring the Christian message of hope and joy, the Waynflete singers perform Handel’s much-loved oratorio, Messiah.

The orchestra is the highly regarded period instrument group Florilegium, with whom the choir has given many performances of baroque masterpieces over the years. There is a fabulous line up of soloists, some of whom have sung many times previously with the choir and will be well-known to Winchester audiences – Carolyn Sampson, Robin Blaze, Benjamin Hulett, and Matthew Brook. All under the baton of Andrew Lumsden, director of the Waynflete Singers and Winchester Cathedral’s own Director of Music. Please book this sparkling event early to avoid disappointment.
