This unique experience is open to anyone who is a current student at the University of Winchester.

Evensong service, 5.30pm

A special short and meditative service of Evening Prayer held in the ancient cathedral, following in the footsteps of the monks. Time to let go of all your worries and enjoy the peace and beauty of this sacred place. Worship and prayer is always free of charge at Winchester Cathedral.

Tour

From after Evensong (around 6.10pm) until 7.00pm you are welcome to join an evening tour of the cathedral with the Learning Team.
Experience the Cathedral’s atmosphere, architecture and objects, hear stories about historic events, visit the burial spot of Jane Austen and the famous Antony Gormley statue Sound II in the crypt during this evening tour of the Cathedral led by the Learning Team.

The evening tour will cost £7 per University of Winchester student and will provide each student with an annual pass which will gain them access to the cathedral for a whole 12 months.

Please feel encouraged to join for both the service and tour, or one of the other. This experience is completely flexible to your preference. Please note that tickets for the tour must be purchased in advance. The tour will finish at 7.00pm.
