A three hour workshop reconnecting with one of the oldest textile traditions.
A Louet tabletop loom will be set up and waiting for you, ready to introduce you to the weaving techniques that generations of makers have passed down. Guided by one of Whitchurch Silk Mills Heritage Silk Weavers, you’ll learn how to build pattern texture and structure weaving by hand. By the end of the session you’ll have learned a new skill and created your own hand woven wall hanging to take home with you.
Suitable for beginners. All materials will be provided.
