Uniformed Organisations

We offer a range of art-based workshops and tours for uniformed organisations on weekday evenings.

Due to daily services in the Cathedral, tours are only available from the end of the evening service (around 6pm).

How do I book my visit?

What can I do as part of my visit?

We find that groups usually come to us for a tour or an art workshop – our most popular art workshops are creating clay gargoyles or stained glass windows from tissue paper, tracing paper and PVA glue. Each of these last 60 minutes. Please contact the Learning Team to find out more.

Are there toilets I can use?

If you book one of our workshops, there are toilets in the Learning Centre where the workshops will take place and in the Cathedral if you come for a tour.

I have children and/or adults coming with me with learning differences and access requirements, do I need to let you know in advance?

To ensure you have the best day, please let us know if any of the children or adults you are bringing with you on the day have learning differences or access requirements, such as a wheelchair, so that we can organise resources in advance.

What information do I need to provide as a group leader?

Please can you let us know the following:

The name of your organisation
The name, contact number and email of the person leading the visit.
Information on where to send invoices.
The number of children and supporting adults you intend to bring.
Any learning differences, access issues or additional needs anyone in your group may need support with.
What would you like the group to get from the visit i.e. is there is a theme to your day or badge you are working towards?
How many additional adults are coming.

Where will you meet us on the day?

Depending on what you are doing as part of your visit, you will be advised where to meet us as it could be in front of the Cathedral or outside the Learning Centre. Please contact us before your visit if you are unsure.

Thank you to you and Aisha for last night. I appreciate it was a tricky evening for you both, but that really didn’t come across, and our Beavers absolutely loved it! Aisha certainly made the history come alive, I think all the questions from the children showed how interested they were. My daughter has gone into school the morning full of plans to share all that she learnt! Thank you for making it such a brilliant trip for them.

Just a quick note of thanks for the wonderful recent visit to your Learning centre. The Beavers were enthralled with the talk by Aisha and loved the modeling with clay afterwards, the time really seemed to fly.We intend to visit again in the New Year by popular demand.
