As a catastrophic rise in severe hunger sweeps Afghanistan, with eight million people at risk of starvation over the harsh winter months, Winchester Cathedral will be supporting the appeal to raise funds.
The appeal will fund DEC charities and their local partners to provide emergency food, winter kits, clean drinking water and to support healthcare facilities. If you would like to make a donation, a collection box is available in the Cathedral or alternatively, you can make a donation online.
Donations from the public will be matched pound-for-pound by the UK Government up to a total of £10 million through its UK Aid Match scheme.
