From 15-19 September, Winchester Cathedral will be transformed by spectacular floral displays celebrating the beauty, diversity and wonder of the natural world during Wild! Festival of Flowers and Nature.
The Autumn edition of The Flower Arranger includes a special feature by creative designer Angela Turner, inviting readers to “get into the spirit” of the festival with a nature-inspired arrangement using seasonal flowers, foliage and sustainable, foam-free techniques.
The feature offers a glimpse of the artistry and imagination that visitors will encounter throughout the cathedral during the five-day celebration, where florists, designers and volunteers will create breathtaking installations inspired by nature, wildlife and the changing seasons.
Visitors can expect to discover the cathedral filled with colour, fragrance and creativity, with floral displays bringing historic spaces to life while reflecting the festival’s theme of connecting people with the natural world. As one of the cathedral’s most popular events, the festival offers a unique opportunity to experience this iconic building in a completely different way.
Alongside stunning displays, the festival will celebrate sustainable floristry, championing natural materials and environmentally conscious techniques. The magazine feature highlights foam-free floral design, reflecting the growing movement towards more sustainable practices within the floral industry.
Whether you’re a keen gardener, flower enthusiast, photographer, nature lover or simply looking for an inspiring day out, Wild! promises an unforgettable experience at one of England’s most magnificent cathedrals.
