This partnership grew from a generous donation of new and pre-owned photography equipment to the cathedral and reflects a shared appreciation for heritage, creativity and community. The beautiful photography and videography featured across our website, news stories and social media channels is captured by cathedral photographer Dan and creatively shared by marketing colleagues Franky and Lucy. The upgraded equipment is helping us capture daily life at the cathedral in new and engaging ways.

Welcoming a new Business Partner
London Camera Exchange can trace its origins back to the 1950s, when its founders acquired premises in Guildford and operated a photography studio. As they began selling their old equipment to interested customers, and customers started offering their own items in part exchange for newer or more expensive models, the business as it exists today began to take shape. The original Guildford shop still occupies the same premises, while the Winchester branch is celebrating 70 years since opening. In 2021, the family owners retired and the business became an Employee Ownership Trust. Tony, manager of the Winchester shop in the Square, has been with London Camera Exchange for 41 years and is pictured here with colleagues Isaac, Oliver and Clare.
During a recent visit to the cathedral Nick, Chairman of London Camera Exchange, reflected on the historic features of the building and described it as the perfect setting to challenge even the most enthusiastic photographer.
