Carving out the future

Winchester Cathedral has watched over our city for more than 900 years. It has been a place of prayer, memory, celebration and shelter — a constant in changing lives and changing times.

Today, that inheritance is at risk. Weather and time are eroding the south nave aisle and Curle’s Passage, threatening the carved stone, gargoyles and stained glass that generations before us worked to protect.

This is our moment to step in. A £1.5 million programme of essential repairs, led by skilled heritage craftspeople, will safeguard the cathedral for the next generation. By giving today, you can help ensure that your cathedral endures — not just for us, but for those who will stand here long after we are gone.
