This performance showcases the remarkable versatility of our Cathedral Girl Choristers, spanning centuries of choral tradition. The programme will include a wonderful selection of upper voices repertoire, featuring beautiful works by Johnny Dankworth, soaring melodies by Barry Rose, the profound depth of Kenneth Leighton, and the timeless baroque brilliance of Antonio Vivaldi. Alongside these, the evening will spotlight some of our senior Girl Choristers, who will perform solo and duet pieces by composers including Handel, Bach and Haydn.
This concert is a wonderful, lighter event designed to showcase the immense dedication and commitment of our Girl Choristers, and to offer a joyful musical experience in thanks to the Friends of Winchester Cathedral, who financially support the Girl Choristers.
