Richard Coles will be coming to Winchester Cathedral to discuss his extraordinary life and career – from pop star to parish vicar to award winning novelist and broadcaster.

Online booking has now closed. You can still book tickets by calling 01962 857 275 before 4.00pm or alternatively you can pay on the door from 6.30pm.

He was the co-presenter of Radio 4’s Saturday Live for 12 years; a contestant on Strictly when he scored a lamentably low mark for a Paso Doble; and the author of THE MADNESS OF GRIEF, written after the death of his partner, David Coles.

Richard and Dean Catherine first met when she was the Vicar of Huddersfield and he was sent on placement to her church as part of his Theological College training.

“As a former fan of the Communards I was delighted when Richard was sent to us and tried hard not to treat him any differently. I wondered how on earth he would make the transition into the priesthood and parish ministry. Needless to say, I had nothing to worry about. I’ve watched him over the years bring it all together with brilliance, passion, and aplomb.”

Together they will explore how loss and faith have shaped his life and why writing has become so important to him.
