As the Festival of Flowers & Nature approaches this September, preparations are in full swing. Creative Director Angela Turner and her team are finalising a series of striking installations that promise to transform the cathedral.
To make the selection Angela joined by Clare (Corporate Partnership Manager) and Faye (Wild! Project manager) visited Hilliers 50-acre Broadmead site near Romsey.
Martin Hillier, Director of Hillier Trees showed them where container grown varieties flourish and they witnessed the scale and care behind the operation managed year- round by a dedicated team of ten.
The cathedral team, who will care for the loaned trees, are proud to be working with such a renowned grower.
Hillier’s excellence has been recognised globally, with three AIPH awards this year, including International Grower of the Year and the prestigious Gold Rose. These honours highlight their leadership in quality, innovation, and sustainability.
Visits to the tree nurseries are by appointment only you can find our more here.
