Why are there red cubes in the cathedral’s Inner Close?
Visitors may have noticed several large red cubes appear on the grass in the Cathedral’s Inner Close this week. Whilst they may look unusual, these are temporary water weights that are playing an important role in preparations for the Home & Garden Festival, part of the Wild! Festival of Flowers & Nature

Businesses across Winchester city centre are getting behind Winchester Cathedral’s Wild! Festival of Flowers & Nature, helping to spread the word about one of the city’s most colourful events.

The Autumn edition of The Flower Arranger includes a special feature by creative designer Angela Turner, inviting readers to “get into the spirit” of the festival with a nature-inspired arrangement using seasonal flowers, foliage and sustainable, foam-free techniques.
