Angela Turner
A renowned figure in the world of floral artistry, Angela brings with her a wealth of experience spanning over three decades. As a professionally qualified florist, she has built an illustrious career in both retail floristry and floristry education. Angela is not only a master of her craft but also a passionate educator, having taught floristry, floral design, and flower arranging for more than 30 years, inspiring generations of floral artists.
Angela’s talent and dedication have earned her national and international recognition. Her exceptional work has been honoured with multiple Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Gold Medals, including the coveted ‘Best in Show’. She has also received numerous prestigious industry awards, among them a place in the celebrated ‘100 Faces of Floristry’.
Beyond the classroom and the show stage, Angela has shared her expertise far and wide, demonstrating floral art techniques across the UK, as well as in Ireland, France, Spain, and Japan. Her global presence reflects the universal appeal and emotional power of her designs.
Angela is also deeply involved in the wider floristry community. She is an Honorary Member of the British Florist Association and serves as a Trustee of the Society of Floristry Training Fund, helping to shape the future of floral education and support emerging talent in the industry.
For the 2026 Flower Festival, Angela’s creative vision will take root inside the ancient heart of Winchester Cathedral, transforming its sacred spaces into a living canvas of colour, form, and meaning. Drawing upon the festival’s theme, Wild!, her installations will blend native flora, foraged textures, and bold botanical statements to explore themes of climate change, nature’s resilience, and the human relationship with the natural world.
To bring this extraordinary vision to life, it is expected that around 200 volunteers will be involved—florists, flower arrangers, and passionate supporters from across the region and beyond. Together, under Angela’s direction, they will craft immersive floral experiences that blur the line between art and nature.
Angela Turner’s leadership ensures that the 2026 Festival of Flowers and Nature will not only be a feast for the senses but also a deeply thoughtful journey—one that celebrates the wild beauty of our world while reflecting on its fragility.
Volunteers
The festival of flowers and nature would not be possible without a team of dedicated and passionate volunteers. Skilled in floristry, they’ll work under the guidance and inspiration of Angela Turner to bring you a truly wild festival.
